Zonit Micro Automatic Transfer Switch
The Zonit Micro ATS (μATS) is the world's smallest and most efficient 15A capable Automatic Transfer Switch for data center equipment. It enables a completely different approach to the deployment of power in the data center. The device is a zero "U" self mounting device that is designed to auto-switch the power fed to Electronic Data Processing equipment. It can provide up to 92% of the reliability of a dual power supply device at a much lower cost point. It utilizes unique patent-pending technologies to provide unparalleled functionality and capacity in this form factor which is under 4.25" long.
The Zonit μATS can be used to power individual devices or used to power a 15A plugstrip. It is most often used to deliver A-B power to devices with a single power supply, but can also be used to connect devices with multiple power supplies to more than 2 power sources. Also, since the μATS can move with equipment it powers, it can be used to make "hot moves" within the data center, which can be useful when downtime is hard to schedule.
The Zonit μATS will be available in late Q2, of 2010 initially in 15A, 120V configuration with 10A, 240V to follow .
