Zonit Universal Cabinet System
The Zonit UCab™ transforms every 1U in an equipment cabinet into a uniform and flexible mounting system that is compatible with all standard NEMA mounting methods. It can be used with any standard mounting bracket or rail kit but offers universal mounting methods that work with almost all equipment and eliminate the need to buy new rail kits for each generation of equipment, a large hidden cost area. The Zonit sliders are controlled via easily accessible levers on the front and back of the rack that lock and release attached equipment from the front or back of the rack. Every piece of equipment mounted in the rack functions like a dresser drawer. So, every piece of mounted equipment can be removed from the rack and immediately inserted in any other Zonit UCab™ equipped rack or a different location in the same rack. This makes data center moves and reorganizations very quick and easy.
The Zonit UCab™ system has many advantages over conventional racking methods. All sliders are latched and released in the same exact way using the front and back latch levers. No reaching into the rack to release rail kit stops! Equipment can be mounted and removed from the front or back of the rack. It can be reversed 180 degrees and remounted in any rack position to speed servicing. It can be mounted at any depth in the equipment cabinet. All of these abilities make it easier to deploy, service and move equipment in the data center, saving time and trouble.
The Zonit UCab™ system eliminates the need to purchase any new OEM rail mount kits with each generation of new equipment. This generates huge savings. Even in a small data center of 10,000 sq. feet, cost savings of over $1,000,000 or more can be realized in a three year period.
